Alzheimer's patient found safe, back at home: Police

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

An Alzheimer's patient who had been missing for most of Wednesday has been located, according to Decatur Police..

Authorities said 80-year-old Ernest E. Pressley was supposed to be driving to Panama City, Florida, on Tuesday to visit a sister in the hospital but never arrived.

Police said Pressley did not have a cell phone and had no other mode of contact. 

Late Wednesday evening, police said Pressley was found safe and had been returned home. Details of his location and state when found were not released.
