Morgan Co. provides $1m to Remington project

MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Morgan County leaders provided its piece ofthe puzzle that is the Remington expansion incentive package.

The Morgan County Commission votedunanimously Tuesday to contribute $1 million to the package. This is part of amulti-entity effort to provide funds to help bring the Remington OutdoorCompany to Huntsville.

Funds have already been approved by the Cityof Huntsville, Madison County, and the City of Athens. Money generated will go, in part, towards preparing the old Chrysler building for its transition as the gunmanufacturer's new site.

Over the next decade, Remington is expectedto bring nearly 2,000 jobs to the area.
