HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Police made an arrest in an armed robbery that led to a shooting in south Huntsville, Thursday night.

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. at the Redstone Ridge Shopping Center on South Memorial Parkway just off of Hobbs Road.

Police said several shots were fired during the robbery. Investigators said the robbery victim was hit, then shot back and hit the suspect. An officer responded to the scene, but by then the suspect had made a getaway in a car.

Officers tracked down the car several miles away near the Martin Road exit. They pulled over the car and found four people inside; two men and two women. One of the men was identified as Remarco Taylor, who had been shot in the hand and pelvic area.

Taylor was arrested for robbery and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police said the three other people inside the vehicle will also face charges.

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
