Deputies: Western NC man found after missing for 10 days

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The family of a Buncombe County man reported him missing after he was last seen 10 days ago but has now been found safe.

Buncombe County deputies said the family of Michael Sykes, 58, reported him missing on Saturday.

According to deputies, Sykes was last seen on Feb. 22 and lives along Lee Road in Swannanoa.

He is described as 5'8" tall with brown hair and blue eyes. Deputies said he was last seen driving a white Kia Soul with North Carolina tag CAS-6860. They said foul play is not suspected.

Deputies said Sykes was found Tuesday morning safe and in good condition but did not release any other details about his disappearance.
