DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

A man was killed after being struck by a train in Decatur early Monday morning.

Authorities said a pedestrian was struck by a train around 8 a.m. in the area of the 400 block of 14th Street SW.

Coroner Jeff Chunn said Monday afternoon the victim was identified as 42-year-old Stevon Ray of Trinity. Chunn listed the cause of death as blunt-force trauma.
