HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville Pediatric Associates' Laboratory is always busy with lab techs performing tests and documenting results.

This week a total of 230 children were tested for different illnesses, the majority of those came back positive with strep throat.

For five weeks straight, strep throat has topped the charts. This time, 43 children tested positive. Doctors said that although anyone can get it, it's most common in children between ages 5 and 15.

For the second week, flu, RSV and walking pneumonia all have low numbers.
