Endymion wows crowds along parade route

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The music, the floats and the atmosphere along the Endymion route highly impressed even the most veteran parade goers. George Andrews says, "It's more family centered, I've never seen it this family centered as this year."

"What I've been most transfixed about is the floats. The theme was amazing and how cohesive they are with the theme," said Brad Bourgeois.

A night at the opera was brought to life by elaborate displays. In between marveling at the sight of the super krewe, people along the route focused on catching everything that came their way.

One little boy says, "I caught a sword, lot of stuffed animals and a lot of things."

Ethan Rondino says, "We caught beads, we got footballs and we caught toys." In fact, the Rondino family drove in all the way from Houston just for Endymion!

Jade Rondino explains, "We came right in, came to the parade so barely stopped, picked my husband up and went right to the parade."

Some waited for hours for the krewe to pass by and they had plenty to keep them satisfied. At Tracy Hahn's set-up, she had bbq, crawfish, and plenty of drinks.

And for the first timers to this experience...this was a night to remember! Mark Kagy Says, "I've never seen anything like this, I'm having a blast."

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
