Motorist killed in one-car accident in Covington County

COVINGTON COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a one-car accident that killed the driver Friday night.

It happened on Highway 49, about 1 1/2 miles south of Seminary.

The Volkswagen Jetta ran off the road and hit a tree.

The name has not yet been released.

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
