FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Governor Bentley visited the Shoals Friday to meet withsmall business owners. The conference room at the Shoals Chamber of Commercewas standing room only.

Governor Bentley spent about an hour Friday with nearly50 small business owners. Not only did the Governor discuss his plans and ideasfor the state, but he listened to concerns and took questions from those in theroom.

Business owners discussed everything from the future ofthe new Shoals hospital, to education, and of course healthcare which he doesnot support.

"I'm hoping there's going to be some changes," said theGovernor. "The last fire wall that we have, congress already missed theirchance. They missed it when they voted on it. They didn't have enough votes tostop it, the last firewall we have are the states. That's why we've stood strong, that's why I've not expanded Medicare. Medicare and Obamacare are the samething."

Governor Bentley remained in the Shoals where he andother state and local leaders were on hand for the 2014 Alabama Music Hall ofFame induction banquet.
