A team from Marshall Space Flight Centertalked to small business members Thursday about what it takes to get contractswith NASA.

About 500 small business members from aroundthe country packed the Space & Rocket Center. Speakers included MSFCDirector Patrick Scheuermann and Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle.

After a busy month, Battle said he wants torecruit even more businesses to the Rocket City. "Every worker that you addhere and in Research Park , or add in the technology field, adds $80,000 a yearto your economy. So you have and office come in with ten workers, you have$800,000 coming in year in and year out," he said.

Marshall has held 18 Small Business Alliancemeetings since the Space Center started the event in 2007.
