A Tennessee Valley couple is home safe andsound following an eventful trip through Missouri last week. They said the samegoes for their pet alligators.

Weston Whitt and his wife Laurie were drivingalong Interstate 55 Saturday morning when a car pulled out in front of them. Causinga bigger commotion was the fact that the Whitts were hauling four alligators ina small trailer behind their car.

"We were just very fortunate that thealligators made it. We were very fortunate we're alive and the old man didn'tget injured. I have never been in a wreck that bad in my life," said Weston.

Whitt plans to take the gators to children'shospitals across the country to teach them more about the animals.
