A talk with the author of AL concealed weapon bill

Good Wednesday evening and Happy Hump Day. Here's what we're working on for our 10 o'clock newscast.

We're following a controversial bill that's being discussed by Alabama lawmakers in Montgomery. The proposed law would allow people to carry a loaded, concealed weapon in their vehicles without a permit. WAFF 48's Shumuriel Ratliff is digging deeper into this story, including talking to the sponsor of the bill, Senator Scott Beason of Gardendale.

We're also talking to a family who lives here in the Tennessee Valley about the current unrest in the Ukraine. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux will get this family's take on the situation that has caused tension between U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and the leaders in the Ukraine and Russia.

And in my weekly Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers report, we'll have more on an argument  at a local gas station that escalated into one person pulling out a sawed-off shotgun and shooting the other man in the leg. It's your chance to help police solve this crime and collect up to a thousand dollars in reward money.

Be sure and join us for these stories and more tonight at 10.
