The stars come out at Shoals creative job fair

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Lauderdale County students were treated to astar-studded job fair this week.

The district hosted their first-ever creativejob fair. Students attending Wednesday's session learned more about jobs withan entertainment focus.

They got to hear from some of the Shoals'biggest successes, including Grammy Award-winners John Paul White and GaryBaker, as well as KIX 96 radio personality and program director Fletch Brown.

The goal is to give students an inside lookat creative careers while embracing their own talents.

"I'm a senior in high school and I'm going tocollege next year," said Kayla Beth Cox. "I've been debating; do I do a band atAlabama? Do I continue on with that talent, with that passion, or do I just letit go after high school? After seeing this today, there is no question that Ineed to pursue it and I never need to let it go down."

Earlier this week, students were treated toguests from the field of culinary arts, fashion and photography. The creativejob fair is part of Lauderdale County's PACE program.
