HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - When you hear of a crime at a gas station, you might first think of a robbery or a theft.
But police need your help solving a shooting that we brought you as breaking news at a spot other than the gas station.
Friday, Jan. 24, we told you when Huntsville police found a man in a car who had been shot in the leg.
We now understand that the man was trying to drive himself to the hospital when he was involved in a wreck on Pulaski Pike near Sparkman Drive.
We also now know that the crime actually started at the Chevron at the corner of Pulaski Pike and Mastin Lake.
And police have a couple of surveillance photos of the man they're after for assault.
When we say assault, he didn't use his fists. Police say the man got into an argument with another man at the gas pumps, pulled out a sawed-off shotgun, and shot him in the leg.
We also know the shooter was driving a white, 4-door Dodge Charger.
Any idea who he is?
