Huntsville nurse to be given award in Washington DC

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Huntsville nurse is celebrating a specialhonor.

Judy Dodd is a neonatal intensive care nurseat Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children. Tuesday, she was named the 2014REAL Award honoree. The REAL Awards is a program that recognizes exceptionalhealth workers.

"I am extremely honored and feel very, verygrateful and thankful to all the people that have a part in this because I can'tdo anything that I do by myself," she said.

Dodd has been with Huntsville Hospital for 16years. She is one of only two nurses to receive the award this year. She willreceive her award in Washington DC this spring.
