HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Utility work is expected to cause delays on an intersection of Highway 431 this week.

Huntsville Utilities crews will be installing street light poles Wednesday and Thursday on the Governors Drive/Dug Hill Road intersection, which is expected to impact traffic.

Crews will be working between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. both days.

Highway 431 South coming down from Monte Sano will be reduced to the left lane only starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday. In the afternoon, traffic coming north on 431 up the mountain will divert to the left lane until 4 p.m.

On Thursday, crews will work around the intersection created by the renovated Dug Hill Road intersection. Crews will barricade lanes as needed for traffic traveling on Dug Hill Road as it approaches 431/Governors between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
