HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Bell Road in Huntsville is rougher than usual this week. Granted, it's grating but, for some drivers, the cracks and potholes on the road have made for a similar, rocky ride for a while. The good news is that grating means Bell Road's getting repaved.
We checked it out Monday morning and saw the road crew pouring asphalt and smoothing the new surface heading southbound. The project runs from Hobbs Road all the way down to Clovis Road.
I checked with Huntsville Public Works, and Director Terry Hatfield said that they have eight more loads of asphalt to finish on the north end. They should be finished by Friday or Saturday.
Farther north in Huntsville, several people have commented about Old Gurley Road the past few months on See, Click, Fix. There are some rough spots there, but workers have patched several cracks and potholes.
We'll keep checking it for you.
