HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The trial for a man accused of murder continues Tuesday.

Joshua Conerly was charged in connection with the Feb. 2011 shooting death of Timothy Lanier.

Investigators said the shooting happened on the 200 block of Victory Lane in Huntsville. According to court documents, Conerly shot Lanier twice with a shotgun and then fled the scene.

U.S. Marshals and Huntsville police later arrested Conerly at a motel in Huntsville.
