MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) -

If you're older than 70 a state lawmaker wants you to have the choice to withdraw from a jury pool.

Representative Rod Scott of Fairfield says many senior citizens have trouble making it to court.

The bill would allow seniors to reinstate themselves to the pool if they want.

A Montgomery County Circuit Court administrator says he gets many calls from nursing homes and care providers concerned with legal ramifications if they don't make it to jury duty.
