Arts Council and City discusses placing art around Huntsville

With great weather outside, it was a good time to talk publicart on UAH's campus.

The Arts Council along with the City of Huntsville hostedan art visioning session where the public pitched ideas on what kind of artthey'd like to see around town.

Workshops discussed possibilities of art placed infacilities, parks, greenways, and downtown Huntsville. Organizers said it's apublic investment for everyone to enjoy with the help of grant money.

"It's quality of life and our built environment," said ArtsCouncil Executive Director Allison Jauken. "How we engage with Huntsville andhow we celebrate what is special about the rocket city."
