Bluffton rolls out new town branding slogan


The Town of Bluffton is rolling out its new marketing slogan. 

Savannah is known as the Hostess City, Charleston as the Holy City, and now Bluffton will be known as the Heart of the Lowcountry. 

The town commissioned a Charleston-based advertising agency to develop a brand, or marketing message, to pinpoint Bluffton's qualities and promote tourism and economic development.  

Four public meetings were held last summer to gather input, with the result being, "Bluffton: Heart of the Lowcountry." 

Officials revealed the new brand this week and it's already catching on with locals and tourists. 

"It's charming, and I love the live oak and the moss and the shops," said Bonnie Goldner, tourist. 

"I think that it is kind of the pulse that is the true Bluffton, of the people that are here, of the local community. It is the heart," stated Kylie Eccles, Bluffton resident. 

For the next few months, town officials will roll out the new message through TV commercials, radio ads and digital banners.
