For the first time in history, the Association of the United States Army's Winter Symposium will kick off in Huntsville.
Organizers said they expect thousands of soldiers and people affiliated with the army to attend this symposium. This is a three day event at the Von Braun Center. It's free for military and government personnel.
The symposium is usually held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but they've moved to Huntsville this year since the city has such a big military presence.
The AUSA works to support soldiers worldwide. At the symposium, businesses in the area will set up more than 200 exhibits to provide an insight into the latest state-of-the-art arms, equipment and developing technologies.
There's also an opportunity for veterans, military service members and their spouses to apply and interview for jobs. Warriors to the Workforce is holding a job fair in East Hall 3 at the VBC. This will go on during the symposium.
They'll also have panel discussions and several other workshops you can participate in. The symposium is from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
