DUTTON, AL (WAFF) -

Two men were arrested Friday after a Jackson County Sheriff's Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop.

The Deputy stopped a vehicle on County Road 16 in Dutton. According to officials, a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located and seized along with a handgun.

Both Bryan Lewis Clements, 34-years-old, and Christopher Wade Freeman, 32-years-old, were arrested. A third occupant, a juvenile, was released into the custody of a parent. According to deputies, after being transported to the JCSO Jail and searched, 22 bags of synthetic cannabanoid, and 5 bags of meth on Clements.

Both men were charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and Clements was charged with one more charge of possession of controlled substance, and Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd degree.

Both men are being held in the Jackson County Jail and a bond has not yet been set.
