DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

DEMSI's ambulances were in non-compliance with its contract with Decatur for an entire week.

The ambulances were out of service for hours Feb. 7 after a walk off. Over the weekend they only operated two ambulances. They're required to operate a third for 12 hours a day.

Morgan County 911 Director Ryan Welty said it's the same situation a week later. Only two ambulances are available, a third is still not in operation.

The Decatur EMS Board will address the issue during a special meeting on Feb. 21. The Board could then decide to alter, suspend, or revoke the ambulance company's license.
