Lady Techsters crushed by Charlotte's strong second half

RUSTON, LA (KSLA/Louisiana Tech Sports Information) -

Lulu Perry scored 19 points and a total of three LA Tech players scored in double digits, but the Lady Techsters fell, 85-61, to Charlotte on Thursday night in the Thomas Assembly Center.

 

Louisiana Tech trailed by just two at the half, but the 49ers outscored the Lady Techsters, 53-31, in the second half. Louisiana Tech forced 14 turnovers, but were outrebounded 48-31 in the contest.

 

Perry's 19 points led all scorers on the night, while Whitney Frazier added 15 points. Also joining in double-digit scoring was Chrisstasia Walter, who scored 11 points.

 

Charlotte had five players in double digits and the 49ers were led by Ny Hammonds, Ciara Gregory and Hillary Sigmon, who all scored 14 points each.

 

Louisiana Tech's next action comes Saturday afternoon when the Lady Techsters take on Rice at 5 p.m. in the Thomas Assembly Center.
