TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Tucson Fire Department will honor three Salpointe Catholic High School staffers for their heroic actions in saving a man's life.

Phil Gruensfelder, the Director of Athletics; Kyle Bowen, Athletic trainer, and Keith Shinaberry, Assistant Director of Athletics will all be honored later today for saving the life of the referee at a varsity soccer game.

Michael Chaison collapsed at the 35 yard line and the three sprang into action.  It was their quick actions that saved the life of the referee that day, according to Tucson Fire officials.

Tucson Fire will be hosting a recognition ceremony to honor the three men at Salpointe Catholic High School at 2 p.m. today.
