Athens approves bid to repair damaged fire station

ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -

Athens City Council has approved a big to repair a fire station damaged during January's arctic blast.

Fire Station Number One was damaged after the sprinkler system froze and burst last month.

The council approved a bid of close to $3,300. Work is expected to start on the station by the end of the week. The project will take about four to six weeks.
