NORTH ALABAMA (WAFF) -

Gate 8 at Redstone Arsenal is set to re-open Monday morning after being closed the last few weeks due to a reduction in personnel. The gate will open to all traffic from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., after Arsenal officials were authorized to hire additional security guards to alleviate traffic issues.

The capital murder trial of a Shoals man is expected to start Monday. Raymond Clemmons is charged in the shooting death of his cousin, Jerry Ivy. Investigators said Clemmons killed Ivy inside his pickup truck in July 2012.

Representative Laura Hall is holding a healthcare symposium Monday evening at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville at 6 p.m. Medical professionals will discuss how healthcare is being delivered under the Affordable Care Act. Staff will be on hand to help you sign up for an insurance policy.

Nick Saban will be in Marshall County Wednesday. The hailed Alabama coach will speak at Snead State Community College's Bevill Center in Boaz. General admission tickets are $100.

A bond hearing will decide if a Madison County man accused of several sex crimes stays in jail. Brian Lucas is expected to appear in court on Thursday. Lucas was arrested twice in eight days' time this month.
