Huntsville re-zoning plan moves forward

Good Morning!

Here's what we're working on in the WAFF newsroom:

A Huntsville teacher is off the job this morning after being accused of a sex crime against a child.  Mamon Edwards faces a second degree sodomy charge.  He was a collaborative specialist at Chapman Middle School.

Investigators say the victim  is a boy between 12 and 16 years old.  WAFF's Lauren Morrison is looking into this case and will have more details beginning at 5 A.M..

Also in Huntsville, today the next step in the school re-zoning process begins.  The district will file a motion for its plan to be approved by a federal judge.  The Huntsville School Board approved the plan last night.

WAFF's Muriel Bailey will break it down at 5 A.M. and 6 A.M..

Finally Meteorologist Jeff Castle will have your weekend forecast.

Stop in and join us before heading out for the day.
