Arrest made in clinic armed robbery

MADISON, AL (WAFF) -

Police made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery at a clinic in Madison.

Officers responded to the robbery on Jan. 31 around 7 p.m. at Valley Family Care on Chestnut Drive.

According to investigators, a man armed with a handgun entered the clinic, demanded money and struck one of the employees. Police said the man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money as well as cell phones belonging to employees.

On Feb. 5, Police arrested Antonio Fletcher, 34, of Huntsville, in connection with the robbery. Fletcher was charged with three counts of first-degree robbery, one count each of first-degree and second-degree theft of property, and one count of second-degree assault.

Fletcher is being held in the Madison County Jail on a $197,500 bond.
