Detailed description leads to quick robbery arrest

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Police credit a thorough description from a robbery victim for the suspect's quick capture.

Huntsville Police responded to an armed robbery at the Conoco gas station on the 5600 block of Highway 431 South Tuesday night. The store manager provided a detailed description of the suspect to investigators.

Officers quickly located a suspect matching the manager's description and interviewed him. 55-year-old Matthew Grant Acklin was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.

No injury was reported during the robbery. The case remains under investigation.
