SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

The teenage daughter of a slain New Franklin couple is wanted by police in Summit County for firing shots into an apartment complex.

It happened Monday around 5:15 p.m. at the Newport Landings Apartments in Coventry Township.

A resident called 911 to report a possible explosion and that a bullet had entered and exited their apartment.

Sheriff's Office investigators confirmed that a bullet had entered and exited the apartment, and detectives then determined that the bullet was fired from 2835 Redcrest Lane, Apartment 104, also in Newport Landings.

During a search of the suspect apartment, several items of contraband were located including crack cocaine, evidence of drug trafficking and a 9mm handgun. The Summit County Crime Scene Unit determined that two rounds were fired from within the apartment. One round was fired from a 9mm handgun and the other was fired from a 7.62 caliber assault rifle.

The apartment's tenant was identified as Chelsea Schobert, 18. Schobert was seen fleeing the scene by witnesses. She was driving a gray, 2011 Toyota Sienna, license plate FZW9075. The vehicle also had an unidentified male passenger. The vehicle has a pink "9mm" sticker in the rear window.

Schobert is the adopted daughter of Jeffrey and Margaret Schobert. The couple was murdered in their New Franklin home last April.

Her boyfriend, Shawn Ford, Jr., is accused of murdering the couple in their home on April 2, 2013. He's also accused of assaulting his then-girlfriend, Chelsea Schobert, on March 23. She suffered stab wounds and a fractured skull.

Chelsea Schobert currently has an active arrest warrant for trafficking in drugs-crack cocaine. If anyone has any information on her whereabouts, please contact the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
