VINA, AL (WAFF) -

The Franklin County School Board is expected to decide the future of a teacher accused of having sex with a female student on Tuesday.

Vina High School teacher Brian Keeton was put on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Superintendent Gary Williams said the board will discuss his employment status at Tuesday's meeting. Williams said he will recommend firing Keeton.

The teacher's attorney filed a petition asking the court to not allow the school board to make a decision on his employment until after his case is over.
