SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

The brothers accused in a New Year's Eve shooting that killed a Barberton man and his teenage children appeared in court on Tuesday.

Michael Hendon, 22 and his brother Eric, 30, are each facing three counts of aggravated murder.

Reporter Scott Taylor reports that prosecutors have obtained a confession from Michael Hendon.

The brothers are accused of shooting four people on the night of December 31, 2013, inside a Barberton home on 7th Street NE.

Three of the victims, Ashley Carpenter, 18, her brother David Kohler-Carpenter, 14, and their father, John Kohler, died. Ronda Blankenship, John's Kohler's girlfriend, survived.

Police tell 19 Action News the Hendon brothers targeted the Kohler's home to rob the man of drugs and money.
