CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

Officials are investigating sales of Adderall at one of the area's most exclusive high schools, the Beaumont School for Girls located in Cleveland Heights.

Beaumont is a private Catholic school.

A Police report shows a 16-year old student admitted she had sold the prescription drug to fellow classmates just before winter break.

Adderall is generally used to treat attention deficit disorder, but is popular amongst students, professionals and college students looking for a study aid or performance enhancer.

The word around campus is that the young lady did in fact sell the pills to "help" others study.

Cleveland Heights Police just released this report and the story is just now coming to light.

Charges will be filed against her in juvenile court.
