ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -

Athens Police Animal Control reported that they were able to save a duck from the freezing cold on Tuesday.

Authorities said they captured the duck after receiving calls that it had ice on its feathers and was suffering from the freezing temperatures.

Animal control put the duck in an old service station along with its mate so they could stay together. Someone will reportedly pick the duck up and take it to a farm.
