TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

State Troopers have identified the two victims in a deadly train collision near the Coaling and Cottondale Communities.

Investigators say 57-year-old Charles Kelly Meiklejohn, of Gulf Shores, and 39-year-old Nahum Terrance Mickles, of Foley, were killed Tuesday morning around 11:35 a.m. after a train collided with the GMC pickup truck they were traveling in near Highway 11 and Mile Marker 34.

At least three other people were taken to DCH with critical injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates that weather may have been a factor in the collision. The case remains under investigation.
