DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

The Decatur City Council is talking about moving voting precincts out of schools.

The topic will be addressed at a specially-called meeting Monday night. According to the official resolution, the school system wants the polling places moved for security concerns.

In all, five precincts would be impacted. Some of the polling places would move to churches, others would go to American Legion halls.

If approved, the changes would take immediate effect.
