MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Four Madison County deputies are okay after a possible hazmat scare Friday night.

Two deputies went to a home on Lofton Road where they found some chemicals inside. This happened after two other deputies found chemicals in a car where a person apparently committed suicide.

As a precaution, all four were taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Investigators later determined the chemicals were not harmful and declared the house safe.
