LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The man dubbed the "Ball Cap Bandit" will go to trial in March for bank robbery charges in Lauderdale County, just weeks before his sentencing hearing for separate federal charges.

Cedrick Hicks already faces up to 20 years in federal prison for the federal charges. Last month, he pleaded guilty to 11 bank robberies in North Alabama and one in Tennessee.

The confessed serial bank robber will stand trial for a state charge in Lauderdale County. That trial is set for March 10.
