Cherokee man held in Colbert Co. on theft charges

COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A man from Cherokee is in the Colbert County Jail accused of stealing and reselling scrap metal.

Nickalos Allen Pounders is charged with two counts of property theft. Investigators said he took $2,800 worth of metal items and tried reselling the items at a local business.

Pounders is being held on $6,000 bond.

    The Guntersville Police Department have released news details on a double shooting late Friday afternoon that left one man dead.

    The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., when police from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a 911 call reporting two people had been shot on Edmonds Road.
