2 arrested for Madison restaurant robbery

Police arrested two people in connection with a robbery at a Madison restaurant.

Officers responded to the Captain D's restaurant on Madison Boulevard, Jan. 17. Investigators said one of the offenders entered the restaurant with a handgun and demanded money from the two employees that were inside.

On Jan. 23, police arrested Marius Jones, 25, and Jerilyn Sanders, 32, both of Huntsville. Jones and Sanders were both charged with first-degree robbery and were booked into the Madison County Jail. Their bond was set at $60,000 each.

Police consider the investigation ongoing and said additional charges may be forthcoming.
