Crime Stoppers: Taking the dough

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

This week's Crime of the Week really "takes the cake."

Actually, the crook didn't take any cake or candy from a local store. He went for monetary treats.

But revenge will be sweet if you can help us find him in this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers.

On surveillance video, you can see this crook actually knock down a wall to enter the store.

This happened Dec. 17 at Lynelle's Cake and Decorating & Supplies on Leeman Ferry Road.

After this crook crawled in, he walked into the owner's office. He stole a laptop computer, then he broke into a safe, grabbing a bag of money.

The best shot of this guy came from this surveillance camera as he walked to the front of the store.

The owner says when he saw the surveillance equipment, or perhaps heard the alarm system, she believes that scared him off.

He instantly ran out of the back of the business.

You can see him running out of the store. He's wearing a Gucci knockoff hoodie, called Coogi.

If you have any idea who this crook is, please make the anonymous call to 256-53-Crime.

Or to text or e-mail an anonymous tip, head to our Crime Stoppers page for details.

There's up to $1,000 in reward money for information that results in an arrest.
