Decatur man faces felony forgery charge

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Police arrested a Decatur man Tuesday for allegedly trying to use counterfeit money at a convenience store.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Kangaroo gas station on Sixth Avenue. An employee told police someone had tried to pass the fake bills.

Officers investigated and then arrested Demetrius Deondre Brown. He was charged with first-degree possession of a forged instrument.

Brown was processed at the city jail and taken to the Morgan County Jail.
