Victim identified in fatal Franklin Co. fire

FRANKLIN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Officials in Franklin County believe they have identified the victim of a fatal fire from Sunday.

Authorities said the victim is believed to be 72-year-old James Flannigan, who lived alone.

The fire happened on County Road 92 near Haleyville. Officials said the victim's family members discovered the fire around 11 a.m. Sunday.

The coroner said that the autopsy report is still not back with a completely positive identification, but the body is believed to be Flannigan's.
