Re-zoning Huntsville City Schools a multi-step process

Good Thursday evening.

We're continuing to dig deeper into today's very important Huntsville School Board meeting. The meeting concerned the re-zoning of Huntsville City Schools. WAFF 48's Sarah Navoy was on hand for tonight's standing-room-only meeting as the first steps were taken to help rid Huntsville of a 1970's desegregation order.

We're also digging deeper into the murder of a Huntsville artist. We profiled 76-year old Melborn Wade Wharton in a "Bobby's Bama" segment back in 2012. Wharton's body was found in his backyard on Nassau Drive recently. Ervin Tolbert has been arrested and charged with Wharton's murder. Tonight, we're talking with people who knew this talented man and what they have to say about his tragic loss.

And thanks to you, we have yet another success story to report in our weekly Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week. A woman we showed you Wednesday night cashing a stolen debit card has been identified. Her name is Hanna Leamber Dawson-Hall. More on the details of the crime and the warrant for her arrest at 10.

We'll see you then,
