Police continuing investigation on quadruple homicide in Paris, TX

Released by Lamar County Officials:

Paris Police Detectives continue to investigate the October 9th murders of Brijonne Woods, Romello Steward, Devante Akins and Billy Carey. Shortly before midnight on Wednesday evening, October 9, 2013, Paris Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 435 NE 6th Street in Paris. Upon their arrival Officers discovered the bodies of these four men inside the residence. The preliminary investigation and autopsies confirmed that all four men died as a result of gunshots.

Despite the three months since the murders, police have yet to make an arrest and are continuing to ask for the public's assistance. Confident that there are uninvolved parties who have knowledge of the person or persons responsible for these murders, Police are asking for your assistance.

Police Detectives encourage anyone with any degree of knowledge about these murders or knowledge of the person or persons responsible to contact Lamar County Crime Stoppers. All tips received through Crime Stoppers will forwarded to the detectives, and tipsters will not be asked for their name.

    A school bus accident occurred Friday morning in Decatur.  The accident occurred at 11th St. SW and W.
