Next week, Marshall County prosecutors will resume their case again a former fire department official charged with running over his former employee.

The trial started this week. Former Asbury Assistant Chief Kenneth Jones is charged with assault.

Jones was charged with running over Marlon Banks with his truck in February 2011 at the fire hall. Banks testified that he was run over after Jones raised a weapon to him and he responded by hitting Jones in the face. Banks said Jones then backed up and ran over him.
