LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A water conservation order will run through the weekend for customers of the West Lauderdale Water Authority.

The deep freeze this week caused several water lines to break. That includes a break in an eight-inch water line that utility workers discovered Friday.

Officials said tanks are starting to rise and they hope to lift the alert on Monday, if not sooner. In the meantime, customers are asked to conserve as much water as you can, and to shut your meter off if you have a leak.
