Flu numbers rising quickly in Alabama

Good Wednesday evening and Happy Hump day!

We're digging deeper into what looks to be a very active flu season. So far here in Alabama, we've had one death officially attributed to the flu. But WAFF 48's Sarah Navoy has been talking with health experts today and says they expect that number to rise. We'll hear from emergency responders on how they've been kept extremely busy during this cold weather snap.

We're also continuing to dig deeper into Huntsville's quest to lure the Boeing production facility for the new 777X airplane here to the Rocket City. Even though that facility will remain in Washington State, WAFF 48's Shumuriel Ratliff says Huntsville city leaders still consider this a victory for our city. Shumuriel will have more on the multi-million dollar research facility Boeing will build here.

And in my weekly Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers report, we have several great looks at a woman who Huntsville police say played an illegal "card game" with a stolen credit card to purchase several hundred dollars worth of gift cards. It's your chance to make some easy money.

We'll see you at 10.
